Bimmerfest 2015: No One Suspected a Thing

I took the HEMIWagon BMW 575iT to Bimmerfest 2015. About 4 hours, and no one suspected a thing.

Hour 1: He said he would tell people it was a BMW as well. Plan went perfectly.

A couple of pictures sealed the deal, though I think I was able to blend in better.

Also this BMW GTI really lit up the drag strip. Only 9 second Ultimate Driving Machine of the day.

Holy BMW SRT Trackday Experience! Pulled in and gate 2 had Hellcats and SRT Vipers galore. Unfortunately we spent most of the day at Gate 3.

So that’s Bimmerfest, at least the exciting bits. There was also a really fast BMW 350Z running solid 11s in the 90 degree heat. There was a BMW GTR also running, but I didn’t catch their times.

I didn’t expect to see so many cool BMWs, but there was also a BMW SL63 AMG in the parking lot. I think it would have been cooler if a BMW R32 had showed up, or maybe a BMW Aventador. But there were tons and tons of BMWs. Just managed to squeeze in as well. I’m not sure it was super well organized, there was no free water like advertised, there were so many BMW drivers, you’d think they have one of the events a “Learn to use your Blinker” or “Learn to drive around a parking lot courteously” or maybe even a “Learn to pull your pants up” sessions, rather than “Learn to polish your car with BMW cleaning products.”
